Tail Wagging

Experience life unleashed.

An off-leash dog park next to the Egg Lawn in Beckley Creek Park, the Barklands is open to members of the Louisville Dog Run Association and divided into three one-acre zones — one zone for large dogs, one for smaller dogs, and one designated as “resting” (or closed for use). The runs rotate to maintain the turf, and the signage identifies which areas are open.

Bark up the right tree.

Cross the paved loop along the northwest section of the Egg Lawn to get to the Barklands. You know you’ve arrived when you see green fire hydrants in a bed of gravel near the insignia of a bone impressed in the pavement. The area is open to Louisville Dog Run Association members, who help pay for the upkeep and programming of this amenity. The membership enrollment process verifies that dogs in the Barklands are up-to-date on their shots and safe to play with other pups. LDRA members also have access to other Louisville dog run areas.
