Trail Closures in Turkey Run Park

7/3/19 UPDATE: Chinkapin Trail remains closed until further notice. Depending on rainfall and trail conditions, additional trails may be closed. For condition updates on trails that are open in Turkey Run Park, visit There you will also find condition updates for Silo Center Bike Park. Staff in the field update this tool when they are able.

Currently, only the bike park's green flow trails are open (Flying Pig and Piglet). All other trails and features remain closed.

6/26/19 UPDATE: All trails in Turkey Run Park are currently closed due to muddy conditions from extensive rainfall. Thanks for your patience while we work to protect our trails from permanent damage. Paw Paw and Hickory are expected to re-open on Thursday, June 27. Chinkapin will remain closed until further notice.

6/11/19 UPDATE: Paw Paw Trail has been closed to allow the trail to dry out following heavy rain. It is expected to re-open on Thursday, June 13.

Chinkapin Trail remains closed for repairs until further notice.

6/5/19 UPDATE: Chinkapin Trail in Turkey Run Park is closed for repairs until further notice. 

Paw Paw Trail and Hickory Trail are open. Minor trail work continues along Hickory Trail, so please be alert and keep an eye out for trail workers.

5/24/19 UPDATE: All hike/bike trails in Turkey Run Park have re-opened. Trail work to resume on Hickory and Chinkapin after Memorial Day weekend.


5/16/19 UPDATE: Paw Paw Trail has re-opened to visitors. It will be closed temporarily from 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 during Trail Volunteer Day. Hickory and Chinkapin trails remain closed for repairs.


Multiple trails near Brown-Forman Silo Center in Turkey Run Park will be closed for maintenance starting Monday, May 13. Park staff have closed Paw Paw, Hickory and Chinkapin Trails for repairs. 

This work is expected to last through the month of May. Portions of the trail system may re-open and close until work is completed. Please check back here for the latest updates.
