Section of Louisville Loop in Turkey Run Now Open

2.21.20 UPDATE: Maintenance is complete and all sections of the Louisville Loop within The Parklands are now open!

A section of the Louisville Loop trail in Turkey Run Park will be closed to visitors starting Friday, February 7, 2020. The closed section is in the southern portion of Turkey Run Park, spanning from mile marker 60.7 in the Sky Meadow area to mile marker 59.0 near Brown-Forman Silo Center.

Heavy equipment will be in use along this section of the Louisville Loop as workers replace a wooden bridge on the path. For their safety, visitors should respect all posted barricades and signs advising them to stay out of this area.

This closure applies to the Louisville Loop trail, and DOES NOT impact the park road. Visitors will still have access to the Louisville Loop on either side of the closure, as well as access to all natural surface trails within Turkey Run Park. To avoid the closed section, visitors planning to use the Louisville Loop should begin their walk, run or ride at Seaton Valley and head north or at Silo Center and head south.

Work is expected to take three weeks to complete, weather permitting. Please check back here for the latest updates.
