Join us and the Louisville Sports Commission on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 9:00 a.m. at Beckley Creek Park for the Norton Sports Health Great Pumpkin 10K and enjoy a scenic course through The Parklands of Floyds Fork. Along with the 10K run/walk, there will also be a Wellness Festival and a 3/4-mile kids fun run on the Egg Lawn.
Park visitors should expect road and Loop closures from I-64 to Echo Trail during the race. We recommend utilizing the northern section of Beckley Creek Park off of Shelbyville Rd., or Pope Lick Park, on race day to avoid closures. This will be the only Louisville Loop closure on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Closures will occur on Beckley Creek Parkway and the Louisville Loop in Beckley Creek Park from 6AM-11:30AM. Creekside Center, including Marshall Playground & Sprayground and PNC Achievement Center, will be closed to non-event participants. The park road coming from Shelbyville Road will also be closed at MSD, just before the I-64 underpass. Echo Trail will also be closed during this event, so the park will not be accessible at the entrance off of Echo Trail. This event will also impact the area surrounding The Bark Park.
