1.29.16 UPDATE

Construction along the Paw Paw Trail in Turkey Run Park will continue throughout the weekend, January 29-31. During this time, the southern portion of the trail will remain closed to visitors (see map to the left). Please look for a trail status update early next week.

The southern portion of our Paw Paw Trail in Turkey Run Park will be closed the week of Monday, January 25. IMBA and members of The Parklands Trail Team are constructing a crossing bridge to improve the visitor experience on this easy, soft surface trail.

During construction, the trail will be closed from the southern Chinkapin Trail entrance to its end near Brown-Forman Silo Center. Hikers and bikers can access the Paw Paw Trail at its northern entrance in Sky Meadows (near Sky Dome) where they will be able to journey through the trail’s northern section as well as the Chinkapin Trail. There will not be through passage to Brown-Forman Silo Center, so visitors will need to return to Sky Meadows to exit the trail.

Please respect posted closure signs on your next park visit, and check back here for updates on when the southern portion of the trail will re-open. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our donor-supported public park!
