Major Strainer on Floyds Fork Near Seatonville Road

UPDATE 5.20.16 2:00 PM

The fallen tree on Floyds Fork near creek mile marker 25.0 is blocking river right at this location. Paddlers should portage left at this location and stay river left when reaching Mary's Island.

Park staff has contacted MSD, who is responsible for maintaining the waterway. Our trail staff will follow-up with them and we'll post any updates here. 

Remember to always remain alert when paddling on Floyds Fork in case of debris or fallen trees and know your abilities before putting in.

We've received visitor reports of an additional fallen tree on Floyds Fork near creek mile marker 25.0. All strainers have been reported to MSD who is responsible for maintaining the waterway. Our trail staff will follow-up with them, and we'll post updates here.

We have had reports from paddlers of trees down on Floyds Fork downstream from the Seaton Valley Paddling Access near mile marker 24.5 in Turkey Run Park. The strainers are on both sides of Mary’s Island.

Park staff has called MSD, who is responsible for maintaining the waterway. Our Trail staff will follow-up with them and we'll post any updates here.
