21st Century Parks is partnering with local businesses and entrepreneurs to bring more events and amenities to The Parklands this summer, including outdoor concerts, movie nights, food trucks and a farmer's market!
Eastwood Village Farmer’s Market Moves to Beckley Creek Park
The Eastwood Village Farmer’s Market is re-locating to The Parklands! The summer Farmer’s Market will be located at the North Beckley Paddling Access parking lot in Beckley Creek Park, just a short drive from the park’s main entrance at 15712 Shelbyville Road.
The market will be open every Saturday from May 11, 2019 – September 28, 2019.
Hours: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Food and Fun at the Playground & Spraygrounds
Beginning Saturday, May 11, guests visiting the Cliffside area of Broad Run Park can grab a bite to eat at Piggin’ Out Food Truck. The truck sells family-friendly food, including soft serve ice cream, slushies, hot dogs, brats, popcorn, large soft pretzels, pulled pork sandwiches, nachos, quesadillas, bottled water and soft drinks. Weather permitting, Piggin’ Out Food Truck will be set up starting at 10 a.m. every Saturday throughout the summer. Time is subject to change. Sprayground visitors can also keep an eye out for Steel City Pops. They will be returning to The Parklands this summer to sell their gourmet pops at both Marshall Playground & Sprayground in Beckley Creek Park and Cliffside Playground and Sprayground in Broad Run Park. Weather permitting, Steel City Pops will visit both parks on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer starting in May.
Creature Feature Movie Night
Visitors are invited to Pope Lick Park for FREE outdoor movie nights this summer presented by the Legend at Pope Lick Haunted Woods! In addition to the screenings, there will be movie-themed fun and other activities such as over-sized Jenga, Connect 4 and more. The fun begins at 9 p.m.; movies begin after sundown.

Screen will be set up at John Floyd Fields, 4002 S Pope Lick Road. Visitors should bring lawn chairs or blankets, flashlights and bug spray. Concessions will be available all night at John Floyd Community Building. For updates and additional events, follow them on Facebook at @legendatpopelick.
Friday at Floyds
Last but not least, a crowd favorite is returning to Beckley Creek Park! Friday at Floyds is hosting three FREE outdoor concerts this summer at the PricewaterhouseCoopers Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park. Friday at Floyds is a Friday night happy hour for the entire family, including your four-legged friends.
In addition to live music, there are kid’s activities, food trucks, craft beer, sangria, bourbon slushies and spirits available for purchase. Activities begin at 5 p.m.

There will be a new layout this year with more room to roam and PNC Achievement Center will remain open for visitors to use the facilities and learn more about The Parklands.
