Metro Public Safety is conducting a First Responder Training Exercise in Turkey Run Park from Monday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 12. Training will run from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. each day.
Park guests visiting Turkey Run Park during this time will notice first responders dressed in full gear as they collaborate to complete the exercise.
In addition to providing the responders with updated training, hosting the exercise at The Parklands allows them to become more familiar with the park layout, trails and best ways to access locations in the case of an emergency.
The training is scheduled to wrap up by 12 p.m. each day should you wish to plan to visit after the exercise. Thank you for your patience as local emergency officials prepare their teams for emergencies within and outside of The Parklands.
