Jim Forsting, founder of Explore More LLC, is thrilled to offer this service in The Parklands.

“This company is founded on a passion for getting people outdoors and I couldn’t be more excited to partner with The Parklands to help further this common mission,” Forsting said, “I expect to deliver a high quality experience for all who rent with Pedal The Parklands.”

Scott Martin, Parks Director for The Parklands of Floyds Fork, shares Forsting’s excitement. “We know there is a demand for this service in The Parklands and we expect that this partnership will help make cycling possible for more Louisvillians and for visitors to the area,” he commented. “Opening up new, world-class, recreational opportunities is core to our mission and we’re confident Explore More will help us deliver on that goal this summer,” Martin added.

Explore More LLC will accept cash as well as all major credit cards. Rental service is planned through October of this year, weather permitting, and will begin again in April of 2016. About The Parklands of Floyds Fork

The Parklands of Floyds Fork is a nearly 4,000-acre donor-supported public park system under development within the Floyds Fork watershed in eastern and southeastern Louisville. One of the largest and most ambitious metropolitan park projects in the nation, The Parklands is a dream realized by 21st Century Parks, a nonprofit organization established to create and preserve new unexcelled parks that serve as city-shaping infrastructure. The Parklands project is now 35 percent open, currently operating and programming the first two of four parks in Eastern Jefferson County. The entire system is on schedule to be completed in late 2015. 21st Century Parks is responsible for fundraising, land acquisition, construction, and long-term operations of the new park system. Community members may contribute to the annual fund by becoming a Parklands Member. Learn more at
