3/6 Park Conditions Update

3/6 Park Conditions Update

2:30 PM Update

The Louisville Loop is clear, but watch for slick spots as snow melts and re-freezes. We'll have staff out in the park on Saturday to do any additional removal/salting/etc.

All paddling accesses are also clear and open.

Morning Report

Most of the park road in Beckley Creek and Pope Lick Park is clear with some icy spots. The parking lot at John Floyd Fields is very icy and should be avoided.

The Barklands Dog Park is open but may close temporarily once the snow melts due to the mud.

If you're looking to walk or run, the Egg Lawn Signature Trail has been cleared and is accessible. 80% of the Louisville Loop is open with a narrow lane. Today our crews will continue clearing the Louisville Loop and widening the path with a goal to have all 7 miles clear for the weekend. All bridge areas of the Loop are still very slick so please use caution.

Today we will also work to clear the North Beckley Paddling Access and Fisherville Paddling access parking lots.

The PNC Achievement Center is open with normal winter hours, and we will host a snow hike today at 2:00 PM.

Be sure to bundle up and use caution when visiting the park, but we're open for business!
