If you have ever been to a Parklands camp, Junior Explorer program, or just stopped by at the PNC Achievement Center, then you know Ranger Russell and Ranger Randy. These two terrific turtles are the stars of the show at The Parklands Outdoor Classroom where each year over 12,000 students get an up close and personal look at what it's like to be a turtle!
To honor these amazing reptilian rangers we will be celrbrating throughout the week of May 18-22 with special, virtual Junior Explorer activities like the games, videos, and crafts below.
The festivities will culminate on Saturday May 23 as we observe World Turtle Day - Louisville style - by hosting the slowest two minutes in sports. Join us on The Parklands Facebook page at 10 a.m. as Ranger Russell and Ranger Randy go head to head to determine the the champion of The Outdoor Classroom.
