Parklands Summer Camp: K-3rd Grade NOW FULL!

Join us for Parklands Summer Camps as this group of young explorers spends most of the week splashing, wading, and exploring in Floyds Fork searching for everything from the tiniest macroinvertebrate to the biggest fish. Campers build dams and forts, play games, search for fossils, and skip rocks all while learning more about the importance of healthy streams and forests. Campers will also get to meet birds of prey from Raptor Rehab each week as well as enjoy Sprayground Wednesdays at the Marshall Playground and Sprayground. A similar structure of activities is used each week, but every week is different as we explore new places in the park, have new encounters with wildlife, and delve into over 100 crafts and games. Summer is an adventure, what better place to enjoy it than The Parklands?!

The June 24-28 session of camp for kids in grades K-3 is now full! Click "book now" to view additional dates. To be placed on a waiting list for this session, please send an e-mail to

Get Outside! Camps at The Parklands offer exciting, enriching, discovery-based field experiences that allow children to touch, see and learn about the world around them. Children participate in hands-on science investigations in the natural setting of The Parklands and through the use of state-of-the-art classrooms at the PNC Achievement Center for Education and Interpretation.

All programs offer a balanced day of in-classroom learning and outdoor field experiences. Camp hours are 9:00 AM-4:00 PM with drop-off from 8:30-9:00 AM and pick-up from 4:00-5:00 PM. (All camps operate out of the PNC Center in Beckley Creek Park) Campers must provide their own sack lunch, a snack, and a bottle for water each day.
