Parklands Explorer: Pathways to Wellness, presented by Trilogy Health Services and The Bufford Family Foundation.
In 2018, Parklands Explorers embarked on a pathway to wellness to better mind, body, and spirit. In 2019, the free program at The Parklands of Floyds Fork will continue its tradition of adventure and health by offering monthly wellness activities, such as yoga, paired with meditative, mindful hikes. Community members of all ages are invited to join Parklands Interpretive Rangers on the second Saturday of each month, starting March through October, to embark on a pathway to wellness for body and mind.
Join us for our next Parklands Explorer program on Saturday, July 13 with Yoga East certified instructor, Kara Price, for a beginner friendly yoga class at the Woodland Pavilion in Broad Run Park. Yoga class will begin at 9:00am. Please bring a water bottle and your own yoga mat. This activity is best suited for participants ages 12 and up. Immediately following yoga, Parklands interpretive staff will lead a meditative hike through the newly constructed Woodland Garden. The roughly 1.5 mile hike will be of medium difficulty on a mix of soft surface, gravel, and paved path. Please dress for the weather, wear studying walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water.
We hope you will join us on this pathway to wellness as we improve mind, body, and spirit. Participation is FREE, we just ask that you bring a healthy sense of exploration and a sturdy pair of boots!
Parklands Explorer events are a great opportunity to explore all that The Parklands has to offer! Hikes and wellness activities are free and open to the public! Learn more at www.theparklands.org/events.
