Parklands Explorer: Pathways to Wellness, presented by Trilogy Health Services and The Bufford Family Foundation.
In 2018, Parklands Explorers embarked on a pathway to wellness to better mind, body, and spirit. In 2019, the free program at The Parklands of Floyds Fork will continue its tradition of adventure and health by offering monthly wellness activities, such as yoga, paired with meditative, mindful hikes. Community members of all ages are invited to join Parklands Interpretive Rangers on the second Saturday of each month, starting March through October, to embark on a pathway to wellness for body and mind.
Join us on Saturday, May 11 at 9 am in Broad Run Park with Parklands own Education Specialist and certified yoga instructor, Erin Kinnetz, for a beginner friendly yoga class at Cliffside Center in Broad Run Park. Yoga class will begin at 9:00am on The Greensward. Please bring a water bottle and your own yoga mat. This activity is best suited for participants ages 12 and up. Immediately following yoga, Parklands interpretive staff will lead a meditative hike on the Riparian Ramble Trail. The roughly 1.5 mile hike will be of easy difficulty on a dirt surface path. Please dress for the weather, wear studying walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water.
Being a donor-supported public park means we rely on donations, not tax dollars, for annual operations each year.
