Join us at 9 AM on Saturday, July 14th at the PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion in Beckley Creek Park as Cynthia Williams of 502 Fit Pass leads a Functional Body Movement class. In this session, participants will perform a series of functional body weight exercises to increase their heart rate, build lean muscle mass, and torch fat. This class is designed for all fitness levels, but is best suited for participants ages 12 and up. Remember to dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle and workout mat.
After class, stick around to explore the Humana Grand Allee wetlands. Join interpretive rangers as we discuss the function and importance of wetlands and, how The Parklands is working to restore these dynamic habitats. The hike will begin at 10:00 AM from the PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP Pavilion. All ages and experience levels are welcome for this 2-mile roundtrip walk on the Black Willow Trail. Remember to dress for the weather, wear a good pair of walking shoes and bring a water bottle.
Explorers may choose to join us for the 502 Fit Pass class and the interpretive walk or just one of these activities. We hope you will join us on this pathway to wellness as we improve mind, body, and spirit. Participation is FREE, we just ask that you bring a healthy sense of exploration and a sturdy pair of boots!
Explorer hikes are open to all, but space is limited. Click the "book now" button below to register.
