Parklands Explorer: Limestone Gorge Hike

The Parklands of Floyds Fork encompasses nearly 4,000 acres of forest, meadow and stream habitat. That’s a lot to explore! Beginning in 2017 join Parklands Interpretive Rangers and like-minded adventurers as we attempt to hike and bike every mile of trail within The Parklands. The new Parklands Explorer program will meet weekly to explore a different trail within The Parklands system. The program aims to promote exploration of the parks, community, and comradery among park users. Participation is free, we just ask that you bring a healthy sense of exploration and a good pair of boots or a bike!

The December 9 Limestone Gorge Trail Hike will meet at the Limestone Gorge parking lot in Broad Run Park at 10:00am. This 1.25-mile strenuous trail is on natural surface path. Please come prepared with comfortable walking shoes, water, and a light snack. The hike will take place rain or shine so please be prepared for the weather.

Explorer hikes are open to all, but space is limited. Click the "book now" button below to register.
