Canoe Paddling Access - Broad Run Park

When the water level along Floyds Fork is right, it is a great place for families and individuals to canoe and kayak. In Broad Run Park there are two paddling accesses about a 2.5 miles apart. With the appropriate water level, a paddle from Broad Run Valley to Cliffside should take about 1 to 1.5 hours. This is an ideal paddle for an after-work adventure or for school trips.

Broad Run Valley Paddling Access - located off of Vista Valley Lane in the northern portion of Broad Run Park, this access to Floyds Fork offers paddlers a 2.5-mile float to Cliffside Paddling Access. This section of Floyds Fork is great for beginners looking for a quick, enjoyable paddle. The width of the creek in spots creates some possibilities to get stuck, so keep your eyes peeled to select the best route and avoid having to pull your boat through. On this paddle you can expect to find gorgeous cliff sides that can only be seen from Floyds Fork. There is plenty of wildlife in the dense vegetation of Broad Run Park and the Woodland Garden, providing an opportunity to see many species like Raccoons before the scurry up the hollowed out Sycamore Trees that line the side of the creek.

Cliffside Paddling Access - located near Bardstown Road, this paddling access is the second access in Broad Run Park and final paddling access within The Parklands.
